GMAT Prep United States

Even though the GMAT is a test accepted globally, more than 50% of test takers reside in the United States. That may help shed a light on the different types of GMAT prep available for prospective business school candidates.

In terms of which method to choose, the candidate should keep in mind that the GMAT (a test formulated by the Graduate Management Admission Council) is a key piece of the admissions process, thus, in order to score higher on the GMAT exam can be a determining factor for a successful application.

With the event of COVID-19, many business programs have had to adapt their intake procedures, and this includes making some exceptions for the GMAT as well, given testing center closures. It is possible, on a temporary basis, to sit for the GMAT at home – it is called the GMAT Online test. In terms of a test day comparison, the online version of the test is different on how the GMAT is scored, since it does not have the extra AWA (Analytical Writing Assessment) section, only the Integrated Reasoning section confers a separate score other than the 200 to 800 total score comprised of the verbal and quantitative sections.  The online exam remains in the computer adaptive format, and the questions are similar to the ones in the GMAT official guides, therefore look for GMAT Prep courses that help you by reviewing basic Math materials that are in line with the Official GMAT Practice Test, not with High School exams.

Hence, opt for a Test Prep course that is specialized on the GMAT
